Core training is an essential part of any successful training program.
We tell all our clients at Team America Fitness, "to think of your core as
an internal seatbelt that wraps around your body". This is a perfect
explanation. The core is actually 29 muscles that attach to the spine
that act to stabilize the spine from top to bottom in all three planes of motion.
What does this mean? The core muscles are your foundation, without core
strength and stability one cannot have true strength or power. Core
training is a base to start from in any program and must be progressed like any
type of training. We have all our clients start in core beginner and
progress when they are ready through intermediate and advanced. Core training is
fun and exciting and can add that challenge to any stagnant workout plan!
